Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation engineering design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, VISSIM or similar.
• Understanding of South African road design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design transportation infrastructure such as roads, highways, interchanges, and pedestrian facilities.
• Perform traffic analysis, capacity assessments, and geometric design using specialized software.
• Develop detailed plans, specifications, and contract documents for transportation projects.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant transportation standards, road authorities' requirements, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with traffic engineers, urban planners, environmental specialists, and construction teams.
• Conduct site reviews and provide technical support during construction phases.
