Qualifications

• Technical qualification or trade certification in mechanical or electrical field.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Able to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with pumps, motors, conveyors, and control systems.
• Valid driver''s license for travel within Upington.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment according to schedules.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Repair and replace worn or faulty components, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair and maintenance activities.
• Install and commission new equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and equipment upgrades.
• Operate effectively within a team environment, collaborating with production and engineering staff.
