Rhodes University invites suitably qualified candidates to join the Campus Protection Unit as Campus Guard x3 (Grade 5) on the Eastern Cape campus.

The role provides a comprehensive security service for university property, staff, students and stakeholders, guarding assets and monitoring incidents. Applicants must have Grade 12, at least one year of security experience, and PSIRA Grade C registration; a police clearance is required prior to appointment. Closing 28 October 2026.

Qualifikationen

• Grade 12 (matric) with at least one year relevant security experience.
• Must be registered as a Security Officer Grade C under PSIRA Act no 56 of 2001.
• Special Events certification will be an advantage.
• Must have no previous criminal convictions.
• Police Clearance Certificate not older than two months before appointment date.
• Previous university campus experience will be an advantage.
• A valid driver’s license will be an advantage.
