Job summary

TSU Group Holdings is seeking a Security Officer in Stellenbosch to patrol premises, monitor access, and respond to incidents on an industrial site. The role requires PSIRA Grade C, Grade 12, and physical fitness. You will work on a 3-month contract and must reside in nearby areas due to staff transport requirements.

The successful candidate will uphold safety standards, manage daily surveillance, and cooperate with authorities when needed. Remuneration to be discussed.

Qualifications

• Must be PSIRA registered (Grade C) and up to date.
• Grade 12 education completed.
• Physically fit to stand all day.
• Good interpersonal skills are important.
• Must pass recruitment checks (aptitude test, interviews, background checks).
• Candidates must reside in Eersteriver, Delft, Blue Downs or Mitchell's Plain.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property.
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area.
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations.
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
• Provide assistance to people in need.
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
