Job summary

Old Mutual Insure Limited is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support underwriters with premium processing into the TIA system and maintain electronic filing of policy information. The role covers renewal and claims reporting, plus month-end production and credit control support.

Ideal candidates will have Matric (Maths or Accounting), a related 1-year administration diploma, MS Office proficiency, and at least 3 years in underwriting administration within a Financial Lines context.

Qualifications

• Matric with Maths or Accounting.
• Business Degree an advantage.
• Equivalent of 1 year diploma in administration or related fields.
• MS Office
• 3 years underwriting administration experience (prefer Financial Lines).
• Experience using the TIA production system an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process premiums into the TIA system accurately and timely.
• Maintain electronic filing and up-to-date policy information on TIA and drives.
• Prepare renewal, claims, and production reports for month-end.
• Assist with credit control queries and administration support for the Sintelum Specialty Team.
• Review underwriting documentation to ensure policy alignment and compliance.
• Support Business Development Managers with investigation of account queries.
