Job summary

Seriti is seeking a Mining Activity Engineer OC, D1 in Mpumalanga. The role reports to the Section Manager Planning and involves designing, planning and scheduling for major mining activities, with cross‑functional liaison to Survey, Geology, Environmental, Mining, Metallurgy and Engineering teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Mining Engineering degree with MO Certificate or equivalent underground mining qualification, and have 6+ years of relevant experience, including possible Shiftboss or planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Engineering degree in Mining with MO Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Underground mining qualifications with recognition and prior learning considered.
• Minimum 6 years in mining with either Shiftboss or planning officer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, detailed plans and short-term schedules for major mining activities.
• Compile weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual reconciliations to support plan reporting.
• Provide information for weekly management plans and reports.
• Assist in weekly planning meetings and monthly planning presentations.
• Coordinate with other engineers for integrated mine plans and departments.
• Support annual budget and life-of-mine processes.
