Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater in Brits, North West province, is seeking an MRO Grade 3 to observe stope excavations, measure width, and perform geological mapping to prescribed standards. You will capture measured data in digital systems and ensure accuracy in weekly cycles.

Key duties include identifying rock types, reef facies, lithological succession, and structures; plotting and reviewing mappings with the Geologist and MRO; maintaining safety, ESG compliance, and timely reporting to line supervision.

Qualifications

• COM Basic Sampling and COM Basic Geology certificates are required.
• At least 2 years experience as an MRO Grade 4 or suitable equivalent within Mining Technical Services.
• Competent user of MRM software.

Responsibilities

• Stoping control and stope width measurements.
• Monitor and report underground conditions.
• Capture measured results in MRM Common Logon.
• Coach production teams on cut parameters, drilling discipline and control lines.
• Geological mapping and lithology identification.
• Plotting and discussing mappings with Geologist and MRO for feedback.
