Job summary

Ivanplats is looking for a MTS Manager X 1 REF: IVP-MTS-2025-01 to lead the Technical Services function on the Mokopane project in Limpopo. The role demands a Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or equivalent and at least 15 years post-qualification experience in mechanized underground mining, including design, planning, rock engineering and ventilation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, mineral resource management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience.
• Mechanized underground mining experience, including mine design, planning, rock engineering, ventilation, project management, resource management and cost control.
• Knowledge of engineering techniques for ore body evaluation and mine operations.
• Extensive experience in production reporting (daily, monthly, yearly).

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue optimization through coordinating and ensuring that mine plans and costs are safely and efficiently optimized.
• Ensure costs are safely deferred or minimized to not impact production efficiency.
• Ensure mineral resources are always available to the business and never halt production.
• Develop and implement Technical Services Department standards per international and company standards.
• Optimize mine value with top-tier mine planning and cost models for underground mining.
• Apply company proprietary knowledge to deposit modeling and calculations.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and provide timely support to mining operations.
• Provide relief to the Mining Manager as required.
• Coordinate with 3rd party contractor staff within accountability area.
