Job summary

Cementation Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Construction Man No Trade/ B Cert to be placed in the Spud Shaft near Northam, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering.

The company provides remuneration and benefits relevant to the position, with preference for HDSA candidates and applications open to SA Citizens/PRs. The role requires supervising a mining construction crew, planning activities, managing materials and ensuring

Qualifications

• At least a Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4) qualification.
• Supervisory qualifications and an operating license for underground equipment.
• Basic rigging certificate and proficiency with Word/Excel.
• Strong planning, risk assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mining construction crews to meet production targets.
• Plan, schedule and control activities to ensure resources availability.
• Manage materials, consumables and explosives.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and ensure safety/quality standards are understood.
• Comply with SHEQ, company and client safety protocols.
• Identify and mitigate risks in line with safety requirements.
• Ensure lockout procedures on machinery/equipment are followed.
• Oversee safe installation of pump stations, dam walls, piping and valves.
• Maintain a competent, motivated team aligned with company values.
