Copper Quail is seeking a Construction Supervisor based in Johannesburg to oversee on-site team performance and ensure construction activities meet quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in electrical infrastructure, strong site supervision skills, and a valid N6 qualification. Responsibilities include managing site work, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Main Purpose of the Job
To monitor team performance and execute solution-driven project supervision to exceed quality standards. The role focuses on managing on-site construction activities, ensuring completion without rework, and fostering sound relationships with employees.
Site Supervision: Manage the allocation and execution of site work for subordinates (linesmen, erectors, operators, and general workers).
Administration & Deadlines: Maintain site diaries, instruction books, document control, and work method statements. Complete daily DSTIs, weekly timesheets, petty cash reconciliations, and weekly observations.
Resource & Material Control: Manage site security alongside vehicles, plant, tools, equipment, and material procurement/delivery.
Quality & Safety Assurance: Monitor quality control to prevent deviations. Ensure strict legal site compliance with health, safety, environmental legislation, and ISO standards.
Academic: N6 qualification paired with a valid vocational trade test.
Licensing & Medical: Valid driver's license and a valid medical certificate of fitness.
Compulsory Training: Working at Heights (Fall Arrest & Rescue - US229995/US229998), HIRA, Legal Liability, Excavation Supervisor, First Aid Level 1, Fire Fighting, and IRCON (Construction Regulations).
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a construction supervisor within electrical infrastructure construction.
Core Knowledge: Broad technical knowledge of construction plant/equipment alongside working knowledge of the OHS Act, NEM Act, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Computer Literacy: Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, MS Excel, and email communication).
