Job summary

Huntswood Group in Durban is seeking a customer-focused claims assistant to handle insurance claims queries from our international client base. You will be the key contact, processing cases from start to finish and ensuring timely, fair resolutions.

The role requires clear English, attention to detail, and strong numerical skills, with 1-2 years in insurance claims. You will work in a fast-paced team, lodge claims, update records, and provide world-class service.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate is required.
• Clear Credit and Criminal record is required.
• 1-2 years' experience in Insurance Claims (International).
• Proven experience in the insurance space.
• Proven track record of high performance.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the customer's interests come first while delivering exceptional service.
• Handle both outbound and inbound calls and manage cases from start to finish.
• Lodge claims, update details and make adjustments or cancellations as needed.
• Communicate effectively to resolve complaints in a timely manner.

Working in our claims department you'll be a key point of contact for customers with insurance claims queries. As a business which strives to provide fair and timely resolution for our customers, we want to ensure that their concerns are appropriately handled every time.

Your main objective when you engage with our customers will be to understand, address and resolve whilst adhering to treating customers fairly, and upholding principles and FCA guidelines.

You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced, vibrant, and rewarding role alongside a brilliant and hard-working team.

Job Responsibilities

You will always make sure, that the customer's interest comes first, whilst providing exceptional customer service. You'll have experience in both outbound and inbound calls, as well as experience of running cases from start to finish. It is important to engage and communicate effectively, ensuring their complaint is resolved in a timely manner. You will be required to lodge claims, update details and make adjustments or cancellations.

Job Requirements

• National Senior Certificate
• Clear Credit and Criminal record
• 1- 2 years' experience in Insurance Claims (International)
• Proven experience in the insurance space
