Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Treasury Manager for our client in Klerksdorp, North West. You will manage daily cash operations, liquidity, funding, and banking relationships, ensuring optimal working capital and risk management.

The role requires 5–7 years in corporate treasury, strong knowledge of financial markets, and hands-on experience with treasury systems. Hybrid work from the Klerksdorp office and collaboration with finance teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Master's degree or professional qualification (ACT, CFA) highly preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or financial risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash operations, including cash forecasting, monitoring cash balances, and executing payments and receipts.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and working capital management.
• Oversee banking relationships, negotiating terms and ensuring efficient service.
• Manage short- and long-term funding activities, including debt issuance and credit facilities.
• Identify and manage financial risks, including interest rate and FX risk.
• Develop hedging strategies where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls and regulations.
• Prepare treasury reports for senior management (cash flow, liquidity, risks).
• Collaborate with business units to understand funding and cash needs.
• Evaluate and implement treasury technology solutions to enhance efficiency and control.
