Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification (CTP, CFA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, or corporate finance.
• Proven experience in managing daily cash flows, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and payment systems.
• Proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
• Knowledge of South African banking regulations and treasury best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, wire transfers, and payment processing.
• Forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements and surpluses, ensuring liquidity.
• Manage relationships with banking partners, negotiating fees and service levels.
• Implement and maintain internal controls over treasury processes to ensure accuracy and security.
• Support funding strategies, debt issuance, and investment of surplus cash.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Participate in the selection and implementation of treasury management systems (TMS) and related technologies.
• Prepare regular reports on treasury activities, cash positions, and liquidity metrics for senior management.
