Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join our finance team in Midrand. This hybrid role balances in-office cash management with remote tasks, focusing on liquidity, cash flow, debt, and investments to optimize resources and reduce financial risk.

You will lead daily cash operations, forecast liquidity, support debt facilities, and manage banking relationships. The ideal candidate has a degree in finance, CFA/CTP desirable, 5+ years in treasury, strong analytical and Excel/TMS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
CFA or CTP or similar qualifications highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or related financial role.
Strong knowledge of cash management techniques, financial markets, and investment instruments.
Proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS) and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel).
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage banking relationships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Manage daily cash operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and optimizing liquidity.
Monitor and analyze cash flow, identifying potential shortfalls or surpluses and recommending actions.
Assist in managing the company's debt facilities, including borrowings, repayments, and covenant compliance.
Support the execution of investment strategies for short-term cash investments.
Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
Analyze market trends and provide insights on interest rates, FX, and other instruments.
Assist in the preparation of treasury reports for senior management, including cash flow forecasts and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement improvements in treasury processes and systems.
