Placements24 is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation and Planning for a role based in Mahikeng, North West. The engineer will shape regional mobility by conducting transportation studies, planning networks, analyzing traffic, and designing roads and public transport facilities.

The ideal candidate has a B.Eng in Civil Engineering, ECSA Pr. Eng or Techni registration, and at least 6 years of transportation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or Techn. is expected.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in transportation engineering and planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation planning studies including demand forecasting and network analysis.
• Design transportation infrastructure such as roads, intersections, and public transport facilities.
• Perform traffic modeling and analysis using industry-standard software.
• Develop traffic management plans for urban and rural areas.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate with urban planners, government agencies and consultants to integrate plans.
