Job summary

Placements24 in Klerksdorp seeks a Transportation Engineer to plan, design and implement road networks, intersections and public transport systems. You will analyze traffic, forecast demand and develop coordinated traffic management solutions to improve mobility in the North West region.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with Transportation specialization and a registered (or eligible) Pr Eng, along with 6+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in major modeling tools.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering with Transportation specialization.
• ECSA registration as Pr Eng or eligible for registration.
• Min 6 years experience in transportation engineering and traffic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies, analyses and demand forecasting.
• Design road networks, intersections and related infrastructure.
• Develop traffic management plans and signal coordination strategies.
• Prepare geometric design drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects and engineers on integrated projects.
• Assess impacts of developments on the existing transportation network.
