Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Transport Planner to join the Randburg logistics team. You will plan and optimize transportation routes, coordinate with drivers, monitor shipments, and maintain records to ensure timely deliveries and cost efficiency.

The role requires experience in transport planning, TMS understanding, and strong organizational and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced Gauteng environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Transport Planner or similar logistics role.
• Solid understanding of TMS and route optimization.
• Proficiency in relevant software and MS Office.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in Randburg area.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily transportation routes to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Coordinate with drivers and fleet managers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor shipment progress and address deviations or issues.
• Maintain records of transportation activities including mileage, fuel, delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
