Placements24 in Randburg is seeking an experienced Transport Operator to manage logistics operations from our Randburg base. You will operate heavy‑duty vehicles, plan routes, and maintain vehicle logs while contributing to transport administration.

The ideal candidate holds a Code 14 EC1 license with endorsements and a PDP, has at least 4 years of driving experience (HGV preferred), and understands Gauteng transport networks. A hybrid work model and career advancement await the right applicant.

Qualifications

• Valid South African Code 14 (EC1) driver's license with endorsements.
• Current Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably with HGV experience.
• Familiarity with Randburg and wider Gauteng transport networks.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty vehicles (e.g., Code 14 trucks) for goods transportation.
• Plan and execute delivery routes, optimizing for time and fuel efficiency.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and maintain maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and safety standards.
• Assist with warehouse duties, loading and unloading when necessary.
