About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Operations Specialist to join their team in **Kimberley**. This critical role involves managing the day-to-day transportation activities, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods across various routes. You will be responsible for coordinating with drivers, tracking shipments, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage daily transport operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries. Coordinate with a fleet of drivers to assign routes, monitor progress, and provide support. Track shipments using GPS and other tracking systems, providing updates to relevant stakeholders. Optimize routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance. Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or emergencies promptly. Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure smooth logistical flow. Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Proven experience in transport operations, logistics coordination, or a similar role. Solid understanding of transportation management, route planning, and fleet operations. Proficiency in using transportation management software (TMS) and related technologies. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage drivers effectively. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances. High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics is a plus. Knowledge of the **Kimberley** and surrounding areas' transport network is beneficial.
