Takealot Group is seeking a Risk Management/Loss Prevention intern to join our team in Cape Town DC1 and DC3. You will collect and analyse operational data to support decision-making and contribute to fast-paced projects in e-commerce.

The role emphasises collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Facilities, and Health & Safety, with an 18-month contract. We value initiative, strong communication, and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• N6/NCV Certificate in Risk Management/Loss Prevention.
• Proficient computer literacy and data interpretation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, interpret, and present operational data for decision-making.
• Coordinate and execute projects in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Facilities, and Health & Safety.
• Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and process documentation.
• Monitor KPIs and identify improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
• Participate in problem-solving by identifying root causes and proposing solutions.

N6/ NCV Certificate in Risk Management/Loss Prevention

Key responsibilities:

• Collect, analyse, interpret, and present operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and operational projects in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
• Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Facilities, and Health & Safety.
• Support the development, review, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Monitor operational performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in identifying improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
• Participate in problem-solving initiatives by identifying root causes, proposing practical solutions, and supporting implementation.

This is an 18-month contract
