Job summary

Pro-Match Recruitment is seeking a trade-tested Junior Fitter for our client in Gauteng. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, assembly and repair of mechanical equipment within a workshop environment.

The successful candidate will read basic technical drawings, perform fault-finding and routine inspections, and work both independently and as part of a team to support long-term plant reliability.

Qualifications

• Qualified and trade-tested Fitter is required.
• Candidate should read and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Perform routine mechanical inspections and maintenance.
• Assist with fault-finding and breakdown repairs.
• Assemble, fit and adjust mechanical components.
• Use hand tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly.
• Assist senior fitters with maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to required standards.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
