Job summary

On Line Personnel in Gqeberha (PE) seeks a Toolroom Manager to lead high-precision tooling operations. The role is based on site and requires a Qualified Toolmaker with supervisory experience.

You will build, repair and modify tools, program CNC mills and lathes using CAD/CAM software, and ensure components meet tight tolerances. The position offers hourly pay with overtime and demands both hands-on and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and modify high-precision tools, jigs and fixtures.
• Combine manual toolroom skills with CAD/CAM programming for CNC mills, lathes and milling machines to tight industrial tolerances.
• CNC operation and programming alongside manual equipment such as surface grinders and conventional lathes.
• Tooling and Die maintenance and optimization of progressive dies and fixtures to strict tolerances.
• Troubleshoot, repair and optimize tooling to tight tolerances.

Salary: R200 to R220 per hour + overtime

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Qualified Toolmaker
• Must have blanking experience
• CNC experience
• Supervisory experience

Key Performance Areas and experience with:

• Build, repair and modify high-precision tools, jigs and fixtures
• Combine traditional manual toolroom skills with computer-controlled machining, using CAD/CAM software to program and operate CNC mills, lathes and milling machines to tight industrial tolerances
• CNC operation and programming:

• Setting up, running and adjusting CNC machinery alongside manual workshop equipment such as surface grinders and conventional lathes

• Tooling and Die Maintenance:

• Troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing progressive dies, blanking tools and production fixtures to strict tolerances
