Qualifications

• Experience with blanking tools and press shop setup.
• Minimum 5 years blanking tool/press shop experience.

Responsibilities

• Routine inspection – maintain the clearance gap daily and monitor for unbalanced forces.
• Regrinding – surface grind punch blades and dies by 0.05 mm per pass to remove dull edges and chipping.
• Preventative cycles – resharpening and servicing tools.
• Component replacement – replace damaged stripping pins, springs, punch inserts, or dowels during teardowns.
• Clearance and lubrication – remove scrap/slug buildup and apply micro-lubrication or dry-film coatings as needed.
