Job summary

The role focuses on maintaining, repairing and modifying production tooling, diagnosing faults and carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance. Candidates should be able to read technical drawings, interpret specifications, uphold safety and quality standards, and collaborate with production, technical and quality teams.

Qualifications

This role is suited to qualified Toolmakers with strong hands-on experience in tooling, production equipment and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and modify production tooling
• Diagnose and resolve tooling faults affecting production
• Conduct planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Support tooling improvements and optimisation
• Inspect tooling and identify potential failures
• Work closely with production, technical and quality teams
• Maintain required safety and quality standards

• Toolmaker trade qualification
• Solid Toolmaking experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in tooling maintenance, repair and modification
• Press tooling experience advantageous
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work shifts where required
• Ability to work at heights where required
