Job summary

Fouche & Co Recruitment in Durban is seeking a reliable storeman to maintain the stores area, dispatch goods, verify quantities and keep documentation up to date. The role focuses on accurate stock handling and adherence to company policies.

You will perform 3-monthly stock takes, manage the rebate book, and ensure proper packaging and labeling. Start date ASAP; salary range R10 000–R20 000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement Matric/Grade 12.
• 2–3 years in a warehouse/storeman role.
• Textile/apparel industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with stock control systems (Sage/Pastel) is preferred.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift/move stock.

Responsibilities

• Work according to company policies, procedures and work instructions
• Maintain the stores work environment and proper housekeeping standards
• Dispatch goods and verify quantity, packaging and delivery documentation (order confirmation)
• Allocate proper storage areas in a manner that eliminates damage or deterioration to goods
• Report delivery or product-related issues to the Purchasing Manager
• Ensure all packages are suitably sealed and identified
• Conduct 3-monthly stock takes and report results
• Maintain the rebate book, ensuring stock levels and issuing are accurate at all times
