Job summary

Teraco Data Environments in Gauteng is seeking a skilled Test Analyst to design and execute end-to-end test plans. You will manage testing activities across functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility with legacy systems, ensuring the solution meets business requirements before go-live.

The role focuses on building regression suites, logging defects, and mentoring junior testers while aligning with SDLC standards and governance controls.

Qualifications

• B Sc or B Com Informatics or Computer Science required.
• Course in Software Quality Assurance, Testing Techniques and Testing Life cycle an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years working experience
• Exposure to testing methodologies, Test Case design experience, project planning – testing
• Understanding of Internet and client/server architectures
• DB experience in SQL advantageous
• Agile experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet required business standards.
• Compile test packs for end-to-end testing.
• Test for durability, performance, and bugs.
• Log, track, and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain regression test suites.
• Provide first-line support and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with business analysts to map requirements to tests.
• Own and improve automated test frameworks.
• Ensure testing complies with SDLC and audit controls.
• Mentor junior Test Analysts.
