Job summary

Meridian Wine Merchants in Gauteng is seeking a dedicated Sales Representative to join our team. You will drive sales, secure listings, and nurture productive relationships with customers across the territory.

Ideal candidates are proactive, organised, and target-driven, with a passion for wine and delivering excellent customer experiences. A valid driver’s license and SA work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and an advantageous graduate diploma is required.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, handheld sales technology and CRM systems (Salesforce etc).
• Pricing audits, merchandising execution and real-time field reporting skills are needed.
• Valid driver’s license and legal right to work in South Africa are required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Secure product listings and maintain distribution across the territory.
• Execute structured customer visits per routing plans and territory coverage.
• Maintain customer master data, pricing and CRM data for accuracy.
• Execute promotions, tastings, displays and trade activities as agreed.
• Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly while maintaining strong relationships.
• Report sales activity and ensure SOP compliance.
