Job summary

Placements24 in Cape Town seeks an experienced Telecom Solutions Architect to translate business needs into scalable telecom solutions. You will design network infrastructures, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and ensure performance and reliability across complex systems.

The role requires strong technical leadership, deep mobile network knowledge, and a passion for innovative technologies in a vibrant setting.

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role within the telecom industry.
Deep understanding of mobile network technologies (4G, 5G), IP networking, and cloud platforms.
Experience with network virtualization, SDN, and NFV concepts.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Design and architect end-to-end telecommunications solutions for network, cloud, and application layers.
Evaluate new technologies and vendors to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Develop detailed technical specifications and proposals for network infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful implementation and integration.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the lifecycle.
Document architectural designs, standards, and best practices for network solutions.
