Placements24 seeks an experienced Telecoms Field Engineer to support network infrastructure across Rustenburg and surrounding areas. The role covers installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of base stations and fixed-line systems, with travel to sites to ensure high availability and performance.

The position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications, strong field troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in remote locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Engineer in telecoms with LTE/5G knowledge.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and telecom test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecoms equipment including base stations, routers, and switches.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and preventative repairs on network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the field and implement solutions.
• Conduct site surveys to ensure readiness and compliance with design specs.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, service reports and inventory records.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to meet timelines.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
