Placements24 is seeking a proactive Telecommunications Field Engineer to perform installations, commissioning, and maintenance across Durban-area sites. The role requires working independently and with teams to ensure service delivery and adherence to SLAs.

You will install and test wireless systems (LTE, 5G, microwave), troubleshoot issues, and travel to client locations as needed. The position offers exposure to diverse telecoms projects and opportunities to develop technical skills on modern

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and adaptable Telecommunications Field Engineer to undertake critical assignments across various locations, primarily focusing on the Durban area. This role demands a skilled professional capable of installing, commissioning, and maintaining a range of telecommunications equipment, ensuring seamless service delivery for clients. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications hardware and software at client sites.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot network and equipment failures, providing timely resolution to minimize service disruption.
• Interpret technical specifications and project plans to ensure accurate and efficient installations.
• Provide on-site technical support and training to clients as required.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company procedures while working in the field.
