Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng is seeking a Senior Telecoms Security Specialist to protect our client's telecoms network and systems from evolving cyber threats. You will design and enforce security policies, lead vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents to safeguard availability and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in telecoms or network security, deep knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM, and holds security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in telecoms cybersecurity or network security roles.
• Deep knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of cyber-attack vectors and mitigation techniques.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures for the telecommunications network.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
