Job summary

Placements24 in Upington is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of network build-outs and technology upgrades in the Northern Cape. You will drive complex projects from initiation to closure, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years specifically in telecommunications.
• Proven track record delivering complex telecom projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles (Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with PM software (MS Project, Asana, Jira).
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Understanding of telecommunications technologies (fiber optics, wireless, fixed line).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of telecommunication projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Oversee execution, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactively.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders for seamless delivery.
• Manage project documentation and final reviews.
• Communicate progress to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
