Placements24 is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead a critical network expansion project in Upington, Northern Cape. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering telecom infrastructure upgrades with strong stakeholder engagement and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a solid PM background in telecommunications, 4+ years in telecom project leadership, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or Computer Science.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in project management for telecom network projects.
• Proven track record in managing network deployment or expansion projects.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end telecom network expansion projects.
• Develop detailed project plans: scope, timelines, resources, budget.
• Coordinate internal teams, field engineers and external vendors.
• Oversee procurement and installation of network equipment.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety, and quality controls.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Engage regulators, authorities and community stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
• Handover completed deployments to operations teams.
