Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Telecom Installation Specialist to join the Richards Bay operations team. You will manage on-site installation of telecom equipment, ensuring adherence to technical specs and safety protocols to deliver reliable service.

Qualifications

• A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electronics or telecommunications.
• Proven experience as an Installation Technician, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment relevant to telecom installations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical installations of telecommunications equipment, including cabling, routers, modems, and antennas.
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and configuration of equipment.
• Test installed equipment to ensure proper functionality and connectivity, performing signal testing and calibration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues, documenting all work performed.
