Job summary

Ellepot South Africa is seeking a full-time Technical Sales Representative based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area to promote the Ellepot Propagation System, including machinery, paper, and trays, to forestry, fruit, ornamental, and vegetable sectors.

You will identify and qualify new leads, conduct onsite product demonstrations, prepare quotations, and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, while providing ongoing customer support and training to ensure successful

Qualifications

• Strong technical sales and sales skills with experience presenting and selling technical or equipment-based solutions.
• Excellent customer service capabilities, including responsive support, relationship management, and follow-up.
• Clear and professional communication skills for explaining technical concepts, preparing proposals, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver effective training to customers on product features, system operation, and best practices.
• Background in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, or a related industry is highly beneficial.
• Proven ability to work independently in the field, manage a sales territory, and meet defined targets.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area and broader Southern Africa region.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in sales, agribusiness, or a technical discipline.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Technical Sales Representative role based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The role involves promoting and selling the Ellepot Propagation System, including machinery, paper, and trays, to customers in forestry, fruit, ornamental, and vegetable sectors. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and qualifying new leads, conducting onsite product demonstrations, preparing quotations, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing. The Technical Sales Representative will provide ongoing customer support, handle inquiries, and offer training on system use and best practices to ensure successful implementation. The role also includes maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, gathering market feedback, and collaborating with internal teams to improve service and product offerings.
