Job summary

MAPEI S.p.A. in South Africa is seeking a driven sales professional responsible for delivering revenue targets and expanding the customer base. You will build and maintain relationships with area customers and target contractors, aligning with end users and specifiers to maximise market share.

The role requires strong communication of the value of MAPEI's system offering, collaboration across supply chains, and accurate monthly forecasts for tracked projects as part of the company strategy.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical/Civil Engineering or relevant NQF 5 equivalent tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales revenue based on regional sales target and personal sales target.
• Accountable for own, creation of new, and maintenance of existing area customer relationships.
• To maximise market advantage through a strong focus on the contractor market sector, whilst ensuring alignment with end user requirements, specifier requirements and overall customer relationship management.
• To work across the internal and external supply chains, engaging with customers to promote and demonstrate the functionality of the system and its values.
• Ensuring the effective communication of value propositions in relation to the total company offering, both internally and externally.
• Meet required monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets as set and agreed upon.
• Articulate Mapei’s offer, product expertise or advice, highlighting the advantages of Mapei product range, over and above other competitor offerings.
• Ensure follow through and finalization from specification to order.
• Provide a monthly forecast to the relevant person on tracked projects.
• Analyse and assess customer product mix to show value add to the customer and Mapei, whilst aligning with overall company strategy.
• Adherence to strict ethical codes of conduct and maintenance of confidentiality at all times.
• Manage product performance issues in line with company guidelines
• Train relevant customer and any further individuals according to the agreed annual target

Education
