Job summary

Soudal is seeking a Sales Representative to drive growth in the Eastern Cape by maintaining existing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and promoting our mastics, adhesives and PU foams across retail and end-user markets.

The role requires regular store visits, product demonstrations and training, strong relationship-building, travel with a valid licence, and proficient use of MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint to manage sales records and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with a proven track record.
• Experience in the hardware, retail, or construction industry is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and well-organized.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Increase sales, market share, and product visibility within the region.
• Conduct customer and store visits to promote and sell products.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and market analysis.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
• Maintain accurate sales records, utilize the CRM system effectively, and prepare sales forecasts and reports.
• Drive product demonstrations and customer training sessions.
• Perform in-store merchandising activities to enhance product visibility and brand presence.
• Resolve customer enquiries and complaints to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
