Placements24 is seeking a proactive Technical Maintenance Officer to manage maintenance operations at the Centurion site. You will implement planned maintenance schedules, respond to urgent issues, and contribute to the reliability of facilities across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Installation & Maintenance, CMMS proficiency, and the ability to coordinate contractors while maintaining thorough records and ensuring safety during operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical maintenance role with Installation & Maintenance focus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with maintenance scheduling software and CMMS.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals and diagnostic data.
• Certification in a relevant trade is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for all equipment and systems.
• Diagnose faults, inspect regularly, and perform repairs as needed.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Oversee external contractors performing specialised maintenance work.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance and costs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and restore operations quickly.

You will be responsible for implementing planned maintenance schedules, responding to emergent issues, and contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of our client's facilities. You will work closely with operational teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance within the Centurion facility, ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections, diagnose faults, and perform necessary repairs to machinery and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Experience with maintenance scheduling software and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during critical situations in Gauteng .
• Certification in a relevant trade or technical field is highly advantageous.
