Job summary

Kontak Recruitment is seeking a Technical Buyer for our client in Germiston/Johannesburg. The role is permanent and office-based, offering R30 000 – R35 000 CTC per month plus a guaranteed 13th cheque.

You will source engineering materials, components and consumables, negotiate pricing and ensure orders arrive on time. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' buying experience in engineering/manufacturing, relevant procurement qualifications, and ERP and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ buying experience in an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Relevant procurement, supply chain or engineering qualification.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong supplier follow-up and order expediting experience.
• ERP system experience and good Excel skills.
• Relevant local supplier contacts.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Source engineering materials, components and consumables from suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Ensure orders arrive on time and are expedited as needed.
• Maintain supplier relationships and track deliveries.

Monday–Thursday: 07:00–16:00 | Friday: 07:00–13:00
