Job summary

Bidvest Facilities Management in Middelburg, Mpumalanga looks for a hands-on handyman/maintenance worker to perform timeous and quality preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance on assorted equipment. You will execute tasks from client work orders with strict adherence to safety and service levels.

The role requires Grade 12 (technical Matric advantageous) and N4 Technical, electrical or mechanical, plus a valid SA driver's license.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (technical Matric advantageous)
• N4 Technical (Electrical/Mechanical)
• Valid SA Driver's License
• Exposure to basic electrical tasks in building infrastructure including carpentry, plumbing, painting
• Minimum 2 years relevant Handyman maintenance experience
• Basic training on hand tools, electrical and mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of OHS Act & ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• First Aid
• On-site SOP training (SOP training, HIRA, Fatigue management)

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks according to work orders issued, as per Client & Company requirements.
• Conduct investigations, evaluation & restorations on identified equipment malfunction.
• Carry out minor repairs & service on electrical equipment & appliances as per SLA.
• Perform inspection of facility & repairs on all building infrastructure.
• Carry out inspections & report back on all.
• Assist the Artisan with major repairs and services.
• Provide constant feedback to the Line Manager, Technical staff & CCC on restoration status of operations.
• Undertake other related duties and assignments as assigned from time to time
