Job summary

iOCO Limited is seeking an experienced IT Project Accountant to support a portfolio of technology and business-transformation initiatives within a complex organisation.

You will provide financial oversight across transformation programmes, ensuring budgets, forecasts, actual expenditure and commitments are accurately maintained and clearly reported to senior stakeholders, with strong emphasis on control and insightful analytics.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (CIMA/CGMA, CA(SA), ACA, ACCA, CPA).
• At least five years' finance experience including project accounting or technology finance.
• Experience supporting technology implementations and transformation programmes.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience.
• Understanding of purchase orders, invoices, accruals, commitments, allocations, recharges and GL reconciliations.
• Knowledge of technology expenditure accounting including CAPEX vs OPEX, software deployment and cloud arrangements.
• Experience with ERP, planning or portfolio-management systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial-modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial management of transformation initiatives including budgets, forecasts and approved baselines.
• Reconcile actual expenditure, accruals, commitments with invoices and POs.
• Coordinate monthly forecasts with initiative owners and reflect changes across systems.
• Provide financial insight to support management of transformation initiatives.
• Prepare clear financial reporting for governance forums with insightful commentary.
• Identify costs, risks and opportunities and escalate material issues.
• Collaborate across Technology, Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement and Transformation Office.
