Job summary

Standard Bank Group in Johannesburg seeks a senior Delivery Lead to scope, plan, design and deliver end-to-end software solutions across multiple delivery teams.

You will oversee technical delivery, translate business requirements into technical tasks, code and review interfaces, and ensure quality through end-to-end testing and QA.

You will mentor a portfolio of 3-5 teams with 15-25 resources, drive continuous delivery, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet targets and deliver customer value.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specs.
• Proven ability to lead delivery in agile environments.
• 1-2 years as a manager with large technical teams (10+).
• 10+ years in software engineering with breadth across delivery.

Responsibilities

• Scope, plan, design and deliver end-to-end software solutions.
• Oversee and participate in technical solution delivery across teams.
• Lead and mentor Software and Quality Engineers (3–5 teams, 15–25 people).
• Adopt agile practices and ensure continuous delivery in production.
• Build, code and review interfaces, run tests and ensure security and audits.
• Resolve incidents, remove blockers and drive value for customers.
