Job summary

Toshiba EMEA is seeking a technically motivated engineer in Gauteng to provide software and technical support for EtaPRO Plant Performance Monitoring. You will work on day-to-day tasks including updating models, data integrity reporting, and helping clients with EtaPRO usage, both remotely and on-site as needed.

The role requires a BScEng/BEng in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 0–2 years of power plant experience, with a willingness to travel and learn.

Qualifications

• BScEng/BEng in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 0–2 years power plant experience preferred.
• Fluent in a second South African language.

You will be joining a team of dynamic, motivated, and customer-centric individuals who work independently and in a team, remotely and in-person, as the need arises. The local team supports clients in our region. You will be working with us and gaining valuable experience in engineering and technical support.

What the role involves:

Day to day, you will be responsible for software and technical support, which include, but are not limited to:

• updating and adding new models and modules to existing systems
• reporting on data integrity
• assisting clients in their use of EtaPRO systems as a helpdesk agent
• data analysis
• building dashboards, reports, models, etc.
• troubleshooting system data issues

You could also:

• configure new systems
• travel to client sites occasionally
• assist with proposals
• provide software training
• prepare reports and project documentation
• maintain system databases

Additional information:

• Knowledge of thermodynamics
• Able to drive and possess a valid driver’s license
• Possession or be in process of applying for a passport
• Previous experience with EtaPRO Plant Performance Monitoring Software
