Job summary

Icebolethu Group in Durban is seeking a Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams. You will analyze, design, and implement secure ICT solutions aligned with operational objectives.

Responsibilities include requirements analysis, system architecture, collaboration with developers during configuration, testing, and deployment, and ensuring governance, data integrity, and security compliance. Experience with JIRA/Trello is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Matric essential.
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field advantageous.
• 3–5 years in systems or business analysis in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and document functional business requirements.
• Translate complex operational processes into clear functional specifications, data models, and system workflow designs.
• Evaluate and recommend system enhancements that integrate with ERP/CRM and ICT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams through configuration, testing, and deployment phases.
• Perform system validation to ensure performance, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement automation while adhering to change control and versioning.
• Provide post-implementation support, oversee data integrity checks, and conduct user training.
• Maintain technical documentation covering system structures, workflows, and integrations.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between developers, data analysts, business units, and external vendors.

• Requirements Analysis & System Architecture

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and document functional business requirements.

  • Translate complex operational processes into clear functional specifications, data models, and system workflow designs.

  • Evaluate and recommend system enhancements that integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise platforms (ERP/CRM) and ICT infrastructure.

• Implementation, Testing & System Quality

  • Collaborate with development teams throughout application configuration, testing, and deployment phases.

  • Perform system validation to ensure solutions meet performance targets, cybersecurity standards, and legal compliance frameworks.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement automation solutions while adhering to strict change control and versioning protocols.

• Support, Governance & Vendor Collaboration

  • Provide post-implementation support, oversee data integrity checks, and conduct user training to drive adoption.

  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering system structures, workflows, and integrations.

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between developers, data analysts, business units, and external software vendors.

• Education: Matric essential; National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field highly advantageous.

• Certifications: CBAP, ITIL, or CompTIA Network+ preferred.

• Experience: 3-5 years in systems or business analysis in a corporate environment. Experience with workflow tools (JIRA/Trello) advantageous.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Systems Analysis & SDLC: Advanced process modeling, functional spec design, and practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.

• Tools & Architecture: Proficiency in SQL and modeling software (Visio, Lucidchart); familiarity with enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM) and integrations.

• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills to align cross-functional teams, developers, and external vendors.
