Placements24 in Soweto is seeking a reliable System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. You will install, configure, and support server environments, ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems, with a proactive approach to security and problem solving.

Responsibilities include maintaining server hardware and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), managing DNS, DHCP and AD, implementing security measures, performing backups, troubleshooting issues,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory; security best practices.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
Manage and monitor network services including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
Implement and maintain system security measures (firewalls, antivirus).
Perform regular system backups and ensure recoverability.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Provide technical support to end-users and IT inquiries.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
