Job summary

The Department of Health is seeking a Supply Chain Practitioner: Acquisition (L7) to coordinate and implement the supply chain acquisition framework in line with Treasury regs and public service prescripts.

Responsibilities include providing secretariat services to the Acquisition Committee, coordinating and reviewing quotations from the database, supervising staff, and ensuring quality control across procurement processes. Closing date: 2026-09-08.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate.
• National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant qualifications.
• A minimum of 3 year’s functional experience as a Supply Chain Clerk.
• Sound knowledge of Treasury Regulations, Notices, and other prescripts.

Requirements :

• Grade 12 certificate. National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant qualifications. A minimum of 3 year’s functional experience as a Supply Chain Clerk. Skills/Knowledge/Competence: Sound knowledge of the Treasury Regulations, Notices, and other relevant public service prescripts. Sound knowledge of SAP and SRM. Planning and organisational skills, Computer skills, Communication skills. Knowledge of supply chain processes.

Duties :

• To coordinate review, undertake and implement the supply chain acquisition management framework and policies. Provide secretariate services to the Acquisition Committee. Coordinate, review and source quotations from database as determined by National Treasury. Provide general supervision of employees. Allocate work and perform quality control on the work performed.
