Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee a large FMCG logistics and distribution network in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will optimize end-to-end supply chain functions, manage supplier relationships, and drive process improvements across inventory, warehousing, and transportation.

Lead a high-performing team, implement technologies for visibility, and ensure compliance with industry standards while delivering cost-effective, timely product delivery to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in supply chain, with 3+ years in a managerial role in FMCG.
• Proven logistics, warehousing, inventory, and transportation expertise.
• Strong planning and execution in high-volume environments.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor/contract management.
• Proficiency with supply chain software (ERP/WMS/TMS).

This critical role, based in Pretoria, Gauteng , will be responsible for optimizing all supply chain functions to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products to market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, inventory control, and warehouse operations within the demanding FMCG environment. You will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, improving operational processes, and driving innovation within the supply chain. Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the FMCG sector.
• Proven expertise in logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
• Strong understanding of supply chain planning and execution in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS).
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Pretoria, Gauteng .
