Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to oversee logistics and distribution in Pretoria, Gauteng, in a hybrid setup. You will optimize inbound to final delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness and timeliness across the network.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in FMCG supply chain, with strong WMS/TMS/ERP knowledge, leadership and vendor-management capabilities, plus excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of supply chain, logistics or operations experience in FMCG.
• Proven ability to optimize logistics networks and costs.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience working in hybrid environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of lean/Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Manage and optimize all aspects of logistics, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
• Oversee demand planning and forecasting processes to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stock-outs or overstock situations.
• Negotiate with logistics providers, suppliers, and other third-party partners to secure favorable terms and service agreements.
• Implement and manage advanced supply chain technologies and systems to improve visibility and control.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.
• Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain operations.
