Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a prominent and expanding entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is actively searching for a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize their complex logistical operations. This critical role, based in Centurion, Gauteng , is instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods from production to the end consumer. You will be responsible for managing warehousing, inventory, transportation, and distribution networks to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain best practices, lean methodologies, and advanced planning systems, coupled with strong leadership capabilities to manage a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage end-to-end supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, cost, and service levels.
• Oversee all aspects of warehousing, inventory management, and stock control to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize holding costs.
• Manage transportation and distribution networks, including carrier selection, route optimization, and freight cost management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a significant focus on the FMCG sector .
• Proven experience in managing complex warehousing, inventory, and transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and WMS/TMS.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Centurion, Gauteng area.
