Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking an experienced e-learning content developer to design, storyboard, and package training material across facilitator-led and online formats. You will work closely with SMEs to ensure alignment with safety standards and delivery methodologies.

The role focuses on developing interactive modules using Articulate Storyline, managing LMS content, and supporting just-in-time self-paced learning with multimedia resources.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) or minimum 3 years’ experience in content and material development, with solid experience in e-learning courseware development or related role.
• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults).

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role, of which 2 years should have been at a supervisory level or experience in a functional/specialist area.
• Have computer skills (MS Office applications, SharePoint, LMS).
• Show awareness of customer service and apply the skills of customer care in a specific work environment.
• Have experience in the Designing and Developing of Training Material.
• Have intermediate to advanced working knowledge of rapid authoring/development tools (preferably but not limited to Articulate Storyline).
• Have intermediate to advanced working knowledge of graphic and video editing software/tools.
• Have a solid experience and understanding of setting up assessments (both formative and summative) and evaluations processes.
• Have knowledge of learning management systems.
• Be familiar with the process of online learning and development methodology.
• Have knowledge of SCORM standards, (communication between client-side content and host system).
• Have knowledge and exposure to responsive design techniques with some added advantage of a working knowledge of ActionScript.
• Have basic background knowledge of coding skills especially HTML/5.
• Have basic background understanding of metadata and how it is used in course development and learning outcomes.
• Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Have a clear security screening and credit record.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult and work closely with stakeholders and SMEs to determine course objectives, collect any additional material from them, which can include but not limited to links to other online sites (in case of e-learning)
• Map out interactions and activities (lessons and topics) into a storyboard to ensure the lesson objectives are met in the most engaging and interactive manner – this includes correct navigation, media and graphics included.
• Work with a team of designers and provide technical guidance with designing and developing digital solutions using a combination and range of company approved media delivery tools.
• Create learning objects (supporting tools) and resource kits for both facilitator-led and facilitated e-learning interactions (relevant presentations, facilitator guides and participant guides where applicable).
• Create and package online learning nuggets and courses for e-learning and other applications to support just-in-time self paced learning – this includes videos, links to other job aids, etc.
• Upload and manage course content on the learning management system.
• Assist with recommending and building learning paths and content applicable to all roles as needed by partnering with SMEs.

Job Purpose

• This role is required for develop training material for different delivery methodologies within the Learning and Development area. This role will work very close with all SMEs and Stakeholders to ensure all training material is always aligned to the standards and safety procedures.
